Guwahati, 25 March (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma asserted that the people are unlikely to vote for the Congress in the upcoming elections, claiming a clear shift in public sentiment across the state.

Speaking during his visit to Krishnaguru Sevashram last night, the Chief Minister said that he has been interacting with the public and gauging their opinions on the ground. According to him, people are more focused on issues like employment opportunities and development rather than political rhetoric.

He further remarked that the electorate is keen to know how many jobs will be created and what developmental initiatives will be undertaken, adding that the people are no longer interested in listening to the Congress.

The statement comes amid intensified political campaigning in the state ahead of the elections, with leaders from various parties stepping up their outreach efforts.----------
