Barpeta (Assam), 24 March (HS): Assam CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday launched a fresh attack on Akhil Gogoi, stating that Gogoi is “not beyond allegations” and has several accusations against him.

Addressing a massive gathering during the Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Sarbhog, the Chief Minister reiterated his criticism of Gogoi, intensifying the political rhetoric ahead of the elections.

Despite heavy rain and stormy weather, the yatra witnessed an overwhelming public response, with lakhs of people turning up to participate. The venue turned into a sea of supporters, reflecting strong public enthusiasm.

Many attendees said that neither rain nor storm could deter them from joining the Chief Minister’s rally. “When ‘Mama’ comes, we don’t care about rain or storm,” several supporters remarked, highlighting their unwavering support.

The Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Sarbhog thus saw a massive turnout, underlining the growing momentum of the campaign.---------------
