New Delhi, 23 March (H.S.):

The International Cricket Council announced its Player of the Month awards for February 2026 on Monday, with Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan taking men's honors and India's fast bowler Arundhati Reddy claiming the women's prize. Fan votes worldwide plus input from ex-players and experts sealed their wins.

Farhan dominated T20 World Cup 2026, smashing the most runs in a single edition to eclipse Virat Kohli's mark. He notched twin tons against Namibia and Sri Lanka across seven T20Is, piling 383 runs at 76.60 average and 160.25 strike rate.

He edged England's Will Jacks and USA's Shadley van Schalkwyk. Winning this means everything especially shining at a World Cup, Farhan said. I want to carry this form forward.

Reddy starred in India's 2-1 T20I series triumph Down Under, snaring eight wickets in three games at 10.87 average and 7.25 economy – 4/22, 2/30, 2/35. She beat Sri Lanka's Harshitha Samarawickrama and Pakistan's Fatima Sana.

Thrilled with this after contributing to our Australia win, Reddy said. It'll boost our confidence big time.
