21 March (HS): At the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the fasting people were

given the gift of Eid ul Fitr by Allah Rabbul Izzat, but due to the massacre of

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other martyrs and hundreds of

girls, most of the Muslims celebrated Eid with simplicity by tying black bands

on their arms. According to Syed Mohammad Askari, General Secretary of Ummul

Baneen Society, Eid ul Fitr prayers were offered in Masjid Qazi Sahab Bakshi

Bazar under the leadership of Maulana Syed Jawwadul Haider Rizvi. In Shia Jama

Masjid Chak Zero Road, under the leadership of Imam-e-Juma Syed Hasan Raza

Zaidi, in Masjid Bibi Khadija Karaili under the leadership of Maulana Zargham

Haider, in Masjid-e-Mohammadi Labor Chowraha Kareli under the leadership of

Maulana Wasi Hasan, in Masjid Maula Ali Dariyabad under the leadership of

Maulana Ammar Zaidi, in Masjid Arab Ali Khan Dariyabad under the leadership of

Maulana Irfan Haider Zaidi, in Musalla-e-Zeeshan Karailbagh under the

leadership of Maulana Amirur Rizvi, and in Baitussalat Rani Mandi under the

leadership of Maulana Zeeshan Haider, people offered thanks in the court of God

with devotion and simplicity.

At the

same time, due to the large number of worshippers in Chowk Jama Masjid, Eid ul

Fitr prayers were offered twice. Eid ul Fitr prayers were offered at the

pre-decided time after the muezzin's adhan and takbir in more than three

hundred big and small mosques across the city including Eidgah, Shah Wasi Ullah

Mosque Roshan Bagh, Khanqah Mosque Dayara Shah Ajmal, Atala Badi Mosque, Abu

Bakr Mosque Kareli, Hari Mosque Dhobi Ghat Civil Lines, Bakshi Bazaar, Baidan

Tola, Barnatala, Minhajpur, Akbarpur, Rasulpur, Hatia, Bahadurganj, Chakia,

Shahganj, Sabzi Mandi, Railway Station Abdullah Mosque, Sambadabad Mosque.

Tears

welled up in the sermon after the prayer for the oppressed: Maulana Jawwadul

Haider Rizvi, in his sermon, while describing the virtues of Eid ul Fitr, also

appealed to distribute the amount of Fitra to the needy so that no needy

remains disappointed on the day of Eid. He said that we are certainly

celebrating Eid but our hearts are saddened by the murder of leader Ayatollah

Sayyed Ali Khamenei and other martyrs and hundreds of girls. We are saddened by

our beliefs till now which were given the status of martyrdom in Ramzanul

Mubarak. Even their bodies have not been handed over to the khaki (combat

body). He said that there is still solace for our broken hearts. What can be

the happiness of Eid, the burial is still pending. He said that after Ramzan,

Eid ul Fitr is a gift from Allah to his servants. It is better that in such a

situation, Eid prayers were offered but no one expressed happiness nor wore new

clothes. After the prayer sermon, while prayers were offered for the safety of

the country, blessings in the livelihood, forgiveness of the deceased and

recovery of the sick, slogans of down with Israel and America were also raised.

New

clothes were not worn on Eid, nor sewai prepared at homes: This time Eid was

celebrated with simplicity, neither new clothes were worn nor did women wear

bangles nor did they adorn themselves. Even the Sinwai which is made on the

occasion of Eid was not prepared.
