March (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting with officials
on Tuesday at the Ashtabhuja Dak Bungalow in Vindhyachal regarding preparations
for the upcoming Chaitra Navratri fair. He gave clear instructions that the
entire district, including the fair area, should be made plastic-free and that
a clean and beautiful Vindhyachal should be presented to the devotees. The
Chief Minister directed the Municipal Corporation and the Panchayati Raj
Department to ensure special cleanliness arrangements in the fair area and
ghats. Emphasis was also laid on implementing a door-to-door garbage collection
system and beautification of major roads including bus and railway stations.
Regarding security arrangements, he directed that extensive arrangements be
made for the safety of women along with general devotees. In view of safety in
the river Ganga, instructions were given to provide life jackets to the
devotees along with adequate deployment of NDRF and SDRF.
The Chief
Minister stated that devotees should have uninterrupted access to all basic
amenities, including drinking water, toilets, electricity, and lighting. In
view of the heat, instructions were also given to ensure adequate drinking
water throughout the district. Emphasis was also placed on adequate parking
arrangements so that devotees do not have to walk long distances to visit the
shrine.
He
directed the security of pilgrims' belongings, the promotion of government
schemes through billboards, and the strengthening of law and order. He
emphasized the need to take strict action against cow smuggling and illegal
activities and to reach the masterminds. In the
meeting, emphasis was also laid on completing the development works in a timely
and quality manner, resolving old revenue disputes, solving problems by
establishing dialogue with public representatives and entrepreneurs and
providing land to new investors.
