New Delhi, 14 March (H.S.): Tata Group carriers Air India and Air India Express announced plans to operate 80 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from West Asia today, navigating disruptions from the intensifying U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict.

In a statement posted on X, the airlines confirmed they will run their regular services to Jeddah and Muscat, totaling 18 flights, despite widespread aviation halts in the volatile region.

Beyond routine operations, the duo will deploy 62 ad-hoc flights connecting the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia with India, contingent on airport slot availability and local conditions. These measures, approved by Indian and regional regulators, aim to facilitate stranded passengers' return.

Air India will handle one round-trip from Delhi and two from Mumbai to Jeddah, while Air India Express adds services from Kozhikode and Mangaluru to Jeddah, plus round-trips to Muscat from Delhi, Kochi, Kozhikode, and Mumbai.

Affected travelers on suspended routes can rebook future flights at no extra cost or seek full refunds via the airlines' websites. The group is proactively contacting guests with updated contact details to offer alternatives.
