the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government
is continuously striving to provide employment to youth and empower them with
self-reliance based on their skills. In this regard, the Uttar Pradesh Skill
Development Mission is organizing large employment fairs in various districts
of the state, which will provide employment opportunities to a large number of
youth in the private sector
As per the state government's directive, job fairs will be held in three major
cities in March. Various companies will participate in these job fairs to
select trained and qualified youth. The government's aim is to connect
skill-trained youth directly with employment.
According to the program released by the Skill Development Mission, a mega
employment fair will be organized on March 18, 2026, at Indira Gandhi
Pratishthan in Lucknow. Candidates from Lucknow, Kanpur, Ayodhya and Bareilly
divisions will get employment opportunities in this fair. After this, an
employment fair will be organized on March 24, 2026, at Bundelkhand
Mahavidyalaya in Jhansi, in which youth from Jhansi, Chitrakoot and Agra
divisions will get the opportunity to participate. In the same sequence, an
employment fair will be organized on March 25, 2026, at the Government ITI
Karaundi campus in Varanasi. In this fair, youth from Varanasi, Mirzapur and
Prayagraj divisions will get employment opportunities in various companies.
Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational
Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, said that as part of the
state government's policy, the Skill Development Mission is focusing on
training youth as well as providing them with employment. Through job fairs,
the employment process is being streamlined by bringing trained youth and
companies together.
To ensure the successful organization of the employment fairs, the Skill
Development Mission has appointed nodal officers in the respective divisions.
District program management units have also been instructed to coordinate with
the district administration to ensure the successful implementation of the
program.
Mission Director Pulkit Khare stated that under the guidance of Honorable Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath, employment opportunities in the state are steadily
increasing through various schemes, skill training, startups, and
investment-based industrial development. Through job fairs, youth are getting
the opportunity to connect directly with companies and find jobs according to
their qualifications. Under this initiative, job fairs are being organized on
March 18, 24, and 25. Over 100 companies and employers will be invited to each
venue to provide employment to youth trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal
Vikas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Yuva Kaushal Yojana, ITI and Polytechnic programs,
as well as other candidates. Maximum participation of women candidates,
priority for youth from the Zero Poverty Campaign, and special opportunities
for the disabled are being ensured.
According
to the Mission Director, efforts are being made to ensure availability of
vacancies with a minimum annual salary of Rs 1.50 lakh at each venue.
Candidates can register in advance by scanning a QR code or by arriving at the
venue. It has also been decided that companies from other states should
participate with a minimum of 50 vacancies and local companies with a minimum
of 30 vacancies. However, it will be mandatory for all companies to provide
Letter of Intent (LOI), Offer Letter or Joining Letter, Appointment Letter to
the selected candidates on the evening of the event itself.
