Youth are being linked to employment through Skill Development Mission

State government's priority – skills, training and employment

Lucknow, 13

March (HS): Under

the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government

is continuously striving to provide employment to youth and empower them with

self-reliance based on their skills. In this regard, the Uttar Pradesh Skill

Development Mission is organizing large employment fairs in various districts

of the state, which will provide employment opportunities to a large number of

youth in the private sector

As per the state government's directive, job fairs will be held in three major

cities in March. Various companies will participate in these job fairs to

select trained and qualified youth. The government's aim is to connect

skill-trained youth directly with employment.

According to the program released by the Skill Development Mission, a mega

employment fair will be organized on March 18, 2026, at Indira Gandhi

Pratishthan in Lucknow. Candidates from Lucknow, Kanpur, Ayodhya and Bareilly

divisions will get employment opportunities in this fair. After this, an

employment fair will be organized on March 24, 2026, at Bundelkhand

Mahavidyalaya in Jhansi, in which youth from Jhansi, Chitrakoot and Agra

divisions will get the opportunity to participate. In the same sequence, an

employment fair will be organized on March 25, 2026, at the Government ITI

Karaundi campus in Varanasi. In this fair, youth from Varanasi, Mirzapur and

Prayagraj divisions will get employment opportunities in various companies.

Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational

Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, said that as part of the

state government's policy, the Skill Development Mission is focusing on

training youth as well as providing them with employment. Through job fairs,

the employment process is being streamlined by bringing trained youth and

companies together.

To ensure the successful organization of the employment fairs, the Skill

Development Mission has appointed nodal officers in the respective divisions.

District program management units have also been instructed to coordinate with

the district administration to ensure the successful implementation of the

program.

Mission Director Pulkit Khare stated that under the guidance of Honorable Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath, employment opportunities in the state are steadily

increasing through various schemes, skill training, startups, and

investment-based industrial development. Through job fairs, youth are getting

the opportunity to connect directly with companies and find jobs according to

their qualifications. Under this initiative, job fairs are being organized on

March 18, 24, and 25. Over 100 companies and employers will be invited to each

venue to provide employment to youth trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal

Vikas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Yuva Kaushal Yojana, ITI and Polytechnic programs,

as well as other candidates. Maximum participation of women candidates,

priority for youth from the Zero Poverty Campaign, and special opportunities

for the disabled are being ensured.

According

to the Mission Director, efforts are being made to ensure availability of

vacancies with a minimum annual salary of Rs 1.50 lakh at each venue.

Candidates can register in advance by scanning a QR code or by arriving at the

venue. It has also been decided that companies from other states should

participate with a minimum of 50 vacancies and local companies with a minimum

of 30 vacancies. However, it will be mandatory for all companies to provide

Letter of Intent (LOI), Offer Letter or Joining Letter, Appointment Letter to
