
Bhubaneswar, 13 March (H.S.): In a move aimed at strengthening industrial infrastructure in Odisha, Usha Padhee, Chairperson of the Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO), visited proposed industrial park sites at Kuspangi and Bali under Athagarh Tahsil in Cuttack district on Friday to review development plans.
Padhee, accompanied by the Collector and District Magistrate of Cuttack and senior officials from IDCO and the district administration, inspected the identified land parcels for the proposed industrial parks. During the visit, the team assessed key factors including land availability, connectivity and the provision of essential infrastructure such as power supply, water availability and road access.
Officials noted that the development of well-planned industrial parks is a crucial component of the state government’s strategy to promote investment, strengthen the industrial ecosystem and ensure balanced regional development across Odisha.
During the field review, it was highlighted that the proposed industrial park at Kuspangi holds significant potential to attract new industries and generate employment opportunities for local youth.
The IDCO Chairperson emphasised the need for close coordination between IDCO and the district administration to expedite planning and ensure timely development of the proposed projects.
