
Bhubaneswar, 13 March (H.S.): As many as 1,829 teaching posts are currently vacant across Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya (OAV) schools in Odisha, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond informed the State Assembly on Friday.
In a written reply to a question raised by Padma Lochan Panda, MLA from Simulia, the minister said the recruitment process to fill the vacant posts is currently underway. To ensure that students’ education is not affected, the government has appointed 1,170 guest teachers across the schools.
Highlighting the academic achievements of students studying in Odisha Adarsh Vidyalayas, Gond said that over the past three years, 62 Class XII graduates became eligible for higher studies in the same year. Among them, five students qualified for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), while 31 secured admission in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), bringing recognition to the state’s education system.
