12 March (HS): Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and

Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj, has achieved a moment of pride as Agamya Samuel

student of the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology

(DCSIT), has been selected for a full international scholarship to attend the

International Wikimedia Hackathon 2026 in Milan, Italy.

The

prestigious event, organized by the Wikimedia Foundation, San Francisco,

California, USA, will be held from May 1-3, 2026, bringing together top

developers and researchers from across the globe to collaborate on improving

Wikipedia and its allied platforms.

Agamya

awarded a fully funded scholarship covering international travel,

accommodation, and all event-related expenses. The scholarship reflects international

recognition of his technical expertise and sustained contributions to

open-source technologies. University

authorities and faculty members have congratulated Agamya Samuel on this

achievement, describing academic standards and research culture of the

Department of Computer Science & IT at SHUATS.
