March (HS): A fire broke out Thursday morning at an electric meter
manufacturing factory in Sector 4 of the Noida Police Station Phase 1 area.
Twenty fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control. The fire caused a
stampede, leaving more than 30 people seriously injured. They have been
admitted to the Noida District Hospital for treatment. Some people fainted due
to smoke inhalation and have been placed in the ICU.
About two
hundred and fifty people were working in an electricity meter manufacturing
factory located in Sector - 4. A fire
suddenly broke out at the factory at 5:30 a.m. today. Smoke filled the area as
the fire spread, causing a stampede among the workers. More than 30 people were
injured in the stampede and smoke inhalation.

Police Commissioner Rajiv Narayan Mishra said that a fire broke out due to
unknown reasons at an electric meter manufacturing factory. Around 250 people
were working there at the time. He said that 20 fire brigade vehicles arrived.
After considerable effort, the fire was brought under control. He stated that
the fire caused a stampede among the workers at the company.
More than
30 people were injured in the incident, including Ranjeet, Pankaj, Dilip Yadav,
Rajesh Kumar, Sagar Kumar Jha, Deepu, Jitu, Neeraj, Pradeep, Dilip, Praveen,
Alok, Sukhbir, Umesh, Ajit, Shivnandan, Amarjeet, Ranjeet, Mohammad Alam, Munna
Kumar, and Palash Sarkar. Of these, 17 people are in the ICU. Most of those
admitted to the ICU had fainted due to smoke inhalation. They were rescued and
taken out. He stated that they have been admitted to the Noida District
Hospital for treatment. He stated that no deaths have been reported so far in
this incident.
A large
number of police forces are deployed at the scene, and the situation is under
control. He said that another company located in the Thana Phase-2 area also
caught fire this morning due to unknown causes. Fire brigade vehicles arrived
at the scene and brought the fire under control. He said there were no
casualties in the incident. The fire has been brought under control.
