New Delhi, 10 March (H.S.): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a staggering ₹131 crore prize money for Team India, celebrating their T20 World Cup 2026 title win—the highest ever awarded by the board for a T20 global conquest.This surpasses the ₹125 crore disbursed after India's 2024 Barbados triumph under Rohit Sharma.

Captained by Suryakumar Yadav this time, the side etched history by defending the crown successfully, prompting the BCCI's escalated reward.

In its official statement, the BCCI confirmed the payout for the team's stellar performance and championship victory at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. India clinched the trophy by defeating New Zealand in the final at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.This feat marks India as the first to win back-to-back T20 World Cups and secure three titles overall, cementing their dominance in the shortest format.
