Bhubaneswar, 10 March (H.S.): The Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Department has directed officials to expedite ongoing inquiries against officers of the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) and Odisha Revenue Service (ORS), setting March 31 as the deadline for submission of all pending reports.
According to official sources, the department has taken a serious view of the delay in completing investigations against the concerned officers. In a recent directive, authorities instructed inquiry officers to conclude the investigation process at the earliest and submit the pending reports within the stipulated deadline.
The department also warned that strict action will be taken against officials who fail to comply with the order. It emphasised that negligence or unnecessary delay in submitting investigation reports will not be tolerated.
Earlier, inquiry officers had been asked to complete the investigations and submit their reports within 90 days. However, several inquiries remain pending even after the stipulated period, prompting the department to issue fresh instructions to ensure the process is completed without further delay.
