Lucknow, 10
March (HS): The cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,
held at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday, approved 30 important proposals, including the
Chief Minister's Village Transport Scheme 2026. Following the meeting, Finance
and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, Transport Minister
Dayashankar Singh, and Revenue Minister Ravindra Jaiswal provided information
about the cabinet decisions.
The Yogi
Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to provide buses to all 59
thousand gram sabhas of the state. Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh gave
this information after the Chief Minister Gram Parivahan Yojana 2026 proposal
was approved in the cabinet meeting held in Lok Bhavan on Tuesday. He said that
now buses will pass through every gram sabha of the state. Currently, buses are
not able to reach about 12 thousand gram sabhas. It has been decided to provide
buses to those villages. The Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation has three
thousand buses.
Small
buses will be operated in rural areas, with a capacity of 28 seats. Private
buses will be operated through contracts. A five-member committee headed by the
District Magistrate will determine fares based on the local situation.
District-wise committees will contract buses for their respective districts.
Bus operating times will be determined based on public needs, so that villagers
can reach the district headquarters on time, complete their work, and return to
their villages on time.
Dayashankar
Singh said that now companies like Ola and Uber will have to register with the
Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation. Every five years they will have to renew
their registration by paying a fee of five thousand rupees. This will provide
complete information about such vehicles plying on the state's roads. The
Transport Corporation will also create an app. It will contain complete
information about Ola and Uber vehicles and their drivers. Ola and Uber will
also have to create an app. This app will be available to the general public.
He said that there is no bus of UPSRTC which does not have a GPS system
installed. All the buses are being fully monitored.
The Stamp
and Registration Department's proposal has been approved. Now, the property
seller's identity will be verified in the land records. The Stamp Registration
Department will now verify ownership. The Stamp and Registration Department will
no longer register without verifying ownership. Department Minister Ravindra
Jaiswal stated that stamp duty will be charged based on the circle rate. A two
percent development fee will be payable separately within municipal limits.
