
Mumbai, 10 Mar (HS): The Anti-Corruption Bureau team
in Kolhapur laid a trap and arrested two police personnel while accepting a
bribe of Rs 7 lakh. The two accused are attached to Gokul-Shirgaon Police
Station in Kolhapur.
The accused identified as Head Constable Nitesh
Maruti Kamble and Constable Ejaz Mohammad Sheikh, demanded the bribe for not
registering a case against the complainant. A place in Karveer Nagar was fixed
for handing over the bribe money. As the two arrived the designated place, ACB
team arrested them red-handed while accepting the bribe.
