(HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Varanasi on
Sunday morning. He was welcomed by BJP leaders, public representatives, and
administrative officials at a temporary helipad set up on the Police Line
grounds.
From the police lines, the Chief Minister departed
for the Circuit House in a vehicle convoy amid tight security. On the first day
of his two-day visit, the Chief Minister will hold a review meeting on
development works at the Circuit House. Progress reports from various
departments will be presented at the meeting.
Following the review meeting, the
Chief Minister will view a presentation regarding the tree plantation program
in the Domri area and will also distribute certificates to those concerned. In the evening,
the Chief Minister is expected to conduct a site inspection of ongoing
development projects in the city. The proposed sites include the
under-construction Government Medical College and other projects. During his
stay, the Chief Minister will also visit and worship at Baba Kaal Bhairav, the
Kotwal of Kashi, and the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The Chief Minister is
scheduled to spend the night at the Varanasi Circuit House. He will depart for
Lucknow on Monday morning. Extensive security arrangements have been made in
the Circuit House and surrounding areas in anticipation of the Chief Minister's
arrival.
