Muzaffarnagar,
27 Feb (HS): A man has been arrested, produced on court and subsequently sent
to jail on Friday for allegedly providing sleeping drugs to a 55-year-old
father of two girls before he was stabbed to death, police said Friday. The
culprit, named as Roki, is suspected of supplying sleeping drugs to Ram Prasad
of Morna village before he was stabbed on February 23 by his two daughters,
according to police.
Aditya
Bansal, Superintendent of Police (Rural), informed reporters that they think
Roki was in a relationship with Ram Prasad's 16-year-old daughter. During the
inquiry, Roki was determined to be complicit in the murder by giving sleeping
drugs used before to the crime. According to Bansal, he admitted to providing
the drugs.
Ram
Prasad was reportedly stabbed by his daughters, Komal (32), and the minor,
according to Bansal. The crime was probably motivated by his opposition to the
underage daughter's relationship with Roki, as well as the limitations he put
on both daughters. Police say Roki was apprehended on Thursday night.
