Mumbai, 25 Feb

(HS): The pending dues towards arrears of revised salaries of employees of

Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) have been transferred into

their bank accounts, Transport Minister and Chairman of MSRTC Pratap Sarnaik

said.

The State

Government took urgent steps to financial support to MSRTC, which was facing

financial problems and could not pay the arrears of the revised wages of its

2025 the money could be transferred. The issue of granting Rs 210 crore to

MSRTC was followed and in the first phase Rs 100 crore was transferred. The

arrears have been paid to 86,000 employees have been paid on February24,

Sarnaik said.

Meanwhile, the

MSRTC employees had threatened strike for the delay in payment of dues to them.
