
New Delhi, 23 February (HS): An air ambulance carrying seven persons crashed in Jharkhand’s Chatra district on Monday evening, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said.
The aircraft, a Beechcraft C90 operated by Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, had taken off from Ranchi at 7.11 pm.
According to the DGCA, after establishing contact with Kolkata, the aircraft lost communication and radar contact at around 7.34 pm, approximately 100 nautical miles south-east of Varanasi.
The aircraft’s tail number was VT-AJV.
