Guwahati, 21 February (HS): On the second day of his 2 days Assam visit on Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to participate in the 87th Raising Day celebrations of the Central Reserve Police Force at 11 am.

According to the programme details, the Home Minister will attend the commemorative event marking the foundation day of the CRPF, one of the country’s largest paramilitary forces.

Later in the day, at 2:30 pm, Shah will lay the foundation stone for the headquarters of the 10th Assam Battalion in Cachar district. The project is aimed at strengthening security infrastructure and enhancing operational preparedness in the region.

Senior officials and security personnel are expected to be present during both events.-----------
