New Delhi, 20 February (H.S.): On Friday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan graced the Yugantar annual management conclave at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University, alongside Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh.

Global South Leadership via AI Summit

Addressing the gathering in the context of the India AI Impact Summit, Pradhan stated India has shouldered responsibility for the Global South, positioning the AI conclave as a crucial step forward. He noted India's transition from AI consumer to pursuing 'sovereign AI' capabilities, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi committed to enhancing capacities and meeting needs of developing nations.

SRCC's Century of Excellence

Celebrating SRCC—established in 1926 and marking its centenary—Pradhan lauded the college's illustrious legacy in commerce education and its successful 25-year-old B-school operations. He congratulated the SRCC family on 100 glorious years shaping India's commerce education landscape.

NEP as Innovation Catalyst

Pradhan emphasized India's unparalleled innovative potential, urging full implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) in its true spirit to elevate it further. He expressed confidence that SRCC programs like Global Business Operations (GBO) will sustain their leadership roles.

Tribute to Arun Jaitley

The Minister fondly remembered SRCC alumnus late Arun Jaitley, crediting him as a profound influence like an elder brother and mentor in his life.

Call to Future Global Ambassadors

Pradhan urged SRCC students to dream big, embrace innovation, and work not only for India's prosperity but global welfare, positioning them as ambassadors of the India brand worldwide.

GBO Masters Program Announcement

Expressing delight, the Minister announced the imminent conversion of the GBO course into a full Master's degree program.Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh extended a warm welcome and gratitude to Pradhan for participating, representing the university and SRCC management.
