
New Delhi, 20 February (H.S.): On Friday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced expansive plans to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into agriculture during his address at the India AI Impact Summit held at Bharat Mandapam.
Agricultural Transformation Ahead
As an agrarian powerhouse leading India in wheat, rice, and soybean production, Madhya Pradesh will leverage AI to enhance farmers' productivity, enable timely detection and prevention of crop diseases, and mitigate natural disasters.
Yadav emphasized AI's role in ensuring precise availability of pesticides and treatments, fortifying the state's agricultural resilience.
Healthcare and IT Advancements
The Chief Minister outlined AI's burgeoning applications in healthcare for early disease diagnosis and effective treatment protocols, pledging collaborations with multiple companies to harness investment opportunities.
He highlighted initiatives to establish IT parks in major and smaller cities, generating employment for youth while fostering AI startups through government partnerships.
Broad-Spectrum AI Integration
Yadav revealed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed with various firms across education, industry, tourism, and energy conservation sectors to unlock AI potential.
Affirming commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat and Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh, he projected AI-driven innovations propelling growth in agriculture, healthcare, education, industry, and energy efficiency.
Strategic Collaborations and Global Engagement
During the summit, Yadav held discussions with Google executives on technical cooperation and engaged global tech leaders to bolster AI infrastructure, governance capabilities, and energy-efficient data centers.
He positioned these efforts as pivotal for aligning Madhya Pradesh with worldwide technological strides through enhanced computing infrastructure, talent development, startup support, industrial adoption, and research innovation.
