
Guwahati, 20 February (HS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to arrive in Assam on a two-day visit on Friday, during which he will attend a series of official programmes and review key security and development initiatives in the state.
During his visit, the Union Home Minister will inspect the Natharpur border outpost along the Assam-Bangladesh international border in Cachar district. He is scheduled to participate in the Vibrant Villages Programme at Natharpur, aimed at strengthening infrastructure and development in border areas.
On Saturday, Shah will attend the Foundation Day celebrations of the Central Reserve Police Force at Sarusajai in Guwahati. He will also visit Kochutoli in Sonapur as part of his itinerary.
In addition, the Union Home Minister will lay the foundation stone for the headquarters of the 10th Battalion of Assam Police, marking a significant step towards strengthening the state’s security infrastructure.-----------
