New Delhi, 20 February (H.S.): Amid the ongoing India AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, Indian Youth Congress activists staged a defiant protest against the central government on Friday.

The activists removed their T-shirts and raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, prompting swift police action as several were taken into custody.

Additional Police Commissioner Devesh Kumar Mahla addressed the incident, stating, “This occurred today around 12:30 PM. These individuals entered via QR code applications. They were wearing sweaters and jackets, which they shed in the lobby area of Hall Number 5 to commence their demonstration.”

He added that some protesters have been detained, while others are under identification; all belong to the Indian Youth Congress, including Krishna (35) from Bihar, the national secretary; Kundan Yadav (33) from Bihar, the state secretary; Ajay Kumar from Uttar Pradesh, the state vice-president; and Narasimha Yadav from Mahbubnagar, Telangana, the national coordinator.

Mahla affirmed that legal proceedings will be initiated against them.
