New Delhi, 18 February (H.S.): The Election Commission of India announced biennial elections for 37 Rajya Sabha seats across 10 states on Wednesday, with notifications issuing on February 26 and polling scheduled for March 16. Results will be declared on the same day as voting.

These elections fill vacancies arising from the retirement of incumbent members whose six-year terms expire in April 2026.State-Wise Seat BreakdownThe seats are distributed as follows: Maharashtra (7), Odisha (4), Tamil Nadu (6), West Bengal (5), Assam (3), Bihar (5), Chhattisgarh (2), Haryana (2), Himachal Pradesh (1), and Telangana (2).

Maharashtra: Dr. Bhagwat Karad, Dr. (Ms.) Fauzia Tahseen Ahmad Khan, Priyanka Vikram Chaturvedi, Sharadchandra Govindrao Pawar, Dhairyashil Mohan Patil, Rajani Ashokrao Patil, Ramdas Bandu Athawale.
