Seychelles VP and Mauritius PM Land in Delhi to Power Up India’s AI Diplomacy


New Delhi, 18 February (H.S.): Seychelles Vice President Sebastian Pillay and Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam arrived in India on Wednesday to participate in the India AI Impact Summit.Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary extended a warm welcome to them at the airport.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randeep Jaiswal shared this update via a post on X. He stated that Mauritius Prime Minister Ramgoolam and Seychelles Vice President Sebastian had arrived in India to take part in the AI summit.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson further noted that the presence of Seychelles Vice President—as a close and long-standing maritime partner—will impart fresh momentum to the ongoing joint bilateral year events through his participation in the India-AI Impact Summit.

Digital cooperation remains a key pillar of the advanced strategic partnership between India and Mauritius, grounded in deep people-to-people and historical ties.
