MOSCOW, November 3 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian mercenaries, primarily UAV operators, may still be present in the ranks of the rebels in Sudan, Russian Ambassador to Sudan Andrei Chernovol told RIA Novosti.

It is likely that Ukrainian mercenaries are still present in the ranks of the rebels in Sudan. We are talking, first of all, about UAV operators, Chernovol said.

Such a presence is consistent with the publicly stated strategy of Kiev to counter the Russian presence in Africa, the ambassador said, adding that it leads to the destabilization of the countries of the continent friendly to Russia and the support of terrorist and extremist groups.
