Tehran, 01 November (H.S.): Iran has strongly reacted to US President Donald Trump's warning of possible fresh military strikes against the country, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) asserting that Tehran is fully prepared to respond to any potential attack by the United States or Israel. The IRGC warned that if the US deploys its warships in the conflict, they could be sent to the bottom of the sea.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, citing Iran's Fars News Agency, Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, Deputy for Political Affairs of the IRGC, said the Iranian military was operating on the assumption that the United States or Israel could launch an attack at any time. He asserted that the armed forces were fully prepared to counter any hostile move.

Javani said Iran could not be caught off guard and would respond in accordance with the circumstances and the nature of any attack.

He further claimed that Iran's military capabilities had been significantly strengthened and that retaliatory operations would begin as soon as an attack was anticipated. He warned that Iran would launch a massive and devastating assault on American warships in such a situation. He also cautioned that any area into which enemy forces attempted to enter would be turned into a battlefield of death.

Meanwhile, Iran's security chief, Mohsen Rezaei, warned that if the country came under attack, it would use new weapons to deliver a forceful response to the aggressors. He reiterated that Iran's seven conditions would have to be met for diplomatic engagement to move forward. Rezaei also said that the appeal made by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei had boosted the morale of the country's armed forces.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump spoke to reporters at his residence in Florida, claiming that Iran's military had been substantially weakened. He said negotiations to end the conflict were progressing in the right direction and that the United States was in no hurry to launch offensive military action.

We have destroyed their nuclear programme. There are still one or two sites that need to be struck and destroyed, Trump said.

Referring to a suspected underground nuclear facility, he added, You can look at 'Pickaxe Mountain'. We could strike there soon. Iran, however, has denied that any nuclear activity is being carried out at the site.
