MOSCOW, October 8 (HS/RIA Novosti) - East Timorese President Jose Ramos-Horta may visit Russia in 2027, that will mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, East Timorese Foreign Minister Bendito Freitas told RIA Novosti.

The diplomatic relations between Russia and East Timor were established on May 20, 2002.

I consider it to be very important. As as soon as I return to East Timor, I will inform the president. We can coordinate the president's visit to Russia via the Foreign Ministry for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the minister said answering a question about a possibility of the president's visit.

The upcoming anniversary will be a significant event, the minister added.

We will work together through diplomatic channels, coordinate politically and diplomatically for this [the president's visit] to take place, the minister said.
