Quetta, 03 October (H.S.):

Pakistani security forces have claimed to have killed 11 militants in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Five militants were reportedly killed in South Waziristan, while six others were killed in operations in the Gorandhar and Mashkhel areas of Balochistan.

According to Pakistan’s Urdu-language television channel Dunya News, citing security sources, five militants associated with what Pakistani authorities refer to as “Fitna al-Khawarij” were targeted during an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan. The security forces also claimed to have destroyed militant hideouts and recovered weapons and ammunition during the operation.

In Balochistan, security forces conducted operations against militants in the Gorandhar and Mashkhel areas. According to security sources, six militants were killed during the operations.

In Mashkhel, security sources said that some militants opened fire on a security post and subsequently attempted to flee. The security forces claimed to have killed them in retaliatory fire.

According to the sources, the two operations were conducted under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam and Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3. The security forces said they would continue operations against militancy across the country and maintain efforts to achieve lasting peace.

The sources reiterated that the operations were carried out under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 and Operation Azm-e-Istehkam. The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating militancy across the country and establishing lasting peace.
