MOSCOW, October 27 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Syria has closed the main crossing point, Nassib, on the border with Jordan following the latter's strikes on the southern parts of Syria, Reuters reported, citing the Syrian border and customs service.
On Monday, the Jordanian armed forces announced a military operation against terrorist groups in southern Syria in response to the attack on a church in Al-Karak province last Friday.
According to the health department of the Daraa Governorate, five civilians, including women and children, were killed in the Jordanian airstrikes.
