MOSCOW, October 22 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang have discussed cooperation between Russia and China in the energy sector during a meeting in St. Petersburg, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

In general, the topic of cooperation in the energy sector was touched upon. This cooperation is truly large-scale, it has yet to open horizons, and both sides will continue to work in order to more fully unleash their existing potentials, Peskov told reporters.

When asked if the parties discussed the Power of Baikal Power project, the official answered in the negative.
