MOSCOW, October 20 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Russia and the United States have no dialogue on arms control, except for occasional meetings of representatives on the sidelines of events, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Tuesday.
We have no dialogue with the United States on arms control, except for periodic meetings of senior officials on the sidelines of multilateral international events, Ryabkov told reporters.
Russia pays attention to public signals from the United States on the topic of arms control, the diplomat said.
Naturally, we are sending the US all the necessary signals in line with this position [of Russia on strategic stability], which they, the US, are very well aware of, Ryabkov added.
Russia sees no prerequisites for resuming dialogue with the United States on arms control, the deputy foreign minister added.
