MOSCOW, October 18 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Riots in Paris moved to Boulevard Magenta by Saturday evening, where protesters are smashing shop windows and ATMs and setting public transport stops and cars on fire, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.
In Paris, clashes broke out even before the march began on Republic Square. Aggressive demonstrators threw bottles, stones and firecrackers at security forces. Police responded with tear gas and stun grenades.
Clashes continued during the march. Law enforcement officers repeatedly used tear gas, and later water cannons were also deployed.
Aggressively minded young people dressed in black, who joined the march, continued to provoke security forces, as well as set fire to garbage bins and smash the windows of public transport stops.
Many people received minor injuries during the unrest.
