TEHRAN, October 13 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Iran is grateful to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his willingness to assist in resolving the conflict between Tehran and Washington, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi told RIA Novosti.

On Sunday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin conveyed to US President Donald Trump, in coordination with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Iran's vision on a possible resolution of the conflict.

Russia has always clearly stated its position, which is that this conflict, unleashed by the United States, must end, and this aggression must be stopped. It has also always stated its readiness to make efforts to achieve peace. We are grateful that the Russian president, given the enormous potential of this country, has declared his readiness [to help] in this matter, Gharibabadi said.
