MOSCOW, October 13 (HS/RIA Novosti) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) maintained its forecast for the US economic growth in 2026 at 2.3% on Tuesday, unchanged from its July projection.

The IMF also raised its forecast for next year by 0.2 percentage point to 2.3%.

Activity is supported by robust private consumption, fiscal policy, accommodative financial conditions, and continued technology-related business investment (net of its large import content) and productivity strength, the October 2026 World Economic Outlook read.

The impact of the crisis in the Middle East on the United States remains limited given the country's status as a net energy exporter, the IMF noted.
