
MOSCOW, October 10 (HS/RIA Novosti) - The Russian Education Ministry will train 250,000 teachers to teach a new course on artificial intelligence (AI), the ministry told RIA Novosti.
The professional development program 'Artificial Intelligence in a Teacher's Work' is available during the current academic year. Participants will include 250,000 educators - nearly a quarter of the total number of teachers in Russia, the ministry said.
Minister Sergey Kravtsov previously announced that a new course, Artificial Intelligence and Information Security, will become mandatory for all Russian schoolchildren in grades 5 through 11 starting next academic year.
