BELGRADE, October 10 (HS/RIA Novosti) - The authorities of Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)) will again raise the issue of building a pipeline at the BiH level for Russian gas supplies through Serbian territory after their election victory, Milorad Dodik, the leader of the ruling Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) party in Republika Srpska, told RIA Novosti.

We believe that we must try once again to save the [1995 peace] Dayton Agreement... This also means unblocking all investment projects, such as the gas pipeline. For 12 years, the Bosniak has been blocking the laying of a gas pipeline from Serbia to Republika Srpska, Dodik said.

The project has been blocked due to years of political disagreements between the official Sarajevo and Banja Luka. Dodik noted that if there is goodwill for cooperation on the Bosniak side, Republika Srpska is ready to work on this.
