New Delhi, 06 January (H.S.): Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on Monday night after experiencing chest pain and difficulty breathing. She is currently under the observation of a chest physician.

The hospital issued an official statement on Tuesday, confirming that Gandhi was admitted around 10 PM on Monday. Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, stated that investigations revealed a mild exacerbation of bronchial asthma, likely due to cold and pollution.

As a precaution, she was admitted for further monitoring and treatment.The hospital reported that her condition is stable and she is responding well to treatment, which includes antibiotics and supportive medications.

Doctors said her discharge will be decided in the next one or two days, depending on her progress.
