New Delhi, 03 January (H.S.): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh unveiled portraits of Bharat Ratna awardees Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya in the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Saturday.

During the ceremony, Singh also launched a special coffee table book titled Bharat Mata, celebrating India's nationalist ethos through artistic expressions.

Tribute to Nation-Builders' Legacy

Addressing the gathering, Singh remarked that both leaders elevated politics to a platform of selfless public service. They experienced the freedom struggle firsthand. Unveiling portraits of these great souls is a matter of honour. A nation becomes great through ideals, he stated. Singh highlighted Malaviya's transformation of education into a national mission and Vajpayee's embodiment of politics as service.

Artistic Celebration of Indian Nationalism

The coffee table book Bharat Mata thoughtfully curates selected paintings, architectural marvels, and literary works that underscore art's enduring role in strengthening India's unity, cultural pride, and national identity across generations.
