New Delhi, 03 January (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 72nd National Volleyball Tournament on Sunday( January 4, 2026) at 12 noon through video conferencing from Dr. Sampoorna Nand Sports Stadium in Varanasi.

The announcement, made on Saturday by the Prime Minister's Office, highlights the event's significance in promoting competitive volleyball across India.

Nationwide Participation and Tournament Schedule

Running from January 4 to 11, the championship will feature over 1,000 players representing 58 teams from various states and institutions, promising displays of exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and emerging talent.
