Bhubaneswar, 02 January (H.S.) : The Odisha Transport Department has announced that green PUCC validity stickers will be made available from January 10, 2026, for vehicles holding a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC).
According to an official notification, vehicle owners who have already obtained a valid PUCC will be able to collect the green stickers from their respective Regional Transport Offices (RTOs). To streamline the process, dedicated counters will be set up at all RTOs across the state.
The department clarified that only vehicles with a valid PUCC will be eligible for the green sticker. RTO officials have been instructed to verify the vehicle’s pollution certificate, registration details and records available in the VAHAN database before issuing the sticker.
Vehicle owners will be required to produce the original or digital copy of the PUCC, a copy of the Registration Certificate (RC) and a valid identity proof at the time of collection. In cases where the sticker is collected by an authorised representative, an authorisation letter signed by the vehicle owner, along with identity documents of both the owner and the representative, will be mandatory.
The Transport Department has fixed January 10, 2026, as the cut-off date for implementation of the PUCC validity sticker system. Vehicles that obtained PUCCs up to January 9, 2026, will receive stickers from the concerned RTOs, while vehicles tested on or after January 10 will be issued the green sticker directly by authorised PUC testing centres at the time of testing.
