Lucknow,
12 Jan (HS): Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, declared on
Monday that the state will mark 'Road Safety Month'. The campaign will run
until January 31, i.e. Sunday. The Chief Minister stated that during 'road
safety month', police personnel would ensure that regulations are properly
implemented across the state's many areas to avoid traffic accidents. According
to CM Yogi, the move will protect families and their futures in the state.
UP
CM’s post on X, reads as follows: “My respected citizens, we are organizing
Road Safety Month across the state until January 31. This is a
pledge to protect our families and our future. To ensure that the state's roads
are smooth and safe for everyone, the police will strictly enforce the rules,
but everyone's cooperation is also expected. I am confident that you will
follow traffic rules to make the state's roads smooth and safe.”
Uttar
Pradesh is commemorating 'Road Safety Day' till January 31. The goal of the
campaign, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is to bring the state's
death toll to zero. He claimed that a campaign is being carried out in 20
districts across the state that has been identified as having a high accident
rate. Furthermore, investigators have identified over 3,000 accident-prone
areas. The active campaign 'Road Safety Month' will ensure road safety in the
state.
While
expressing grief over the deaths caused by irresponsible driving in the state,
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that a special campaign will be
performed in 20 'accident-prone regions' of the state, with the goal of
reducing such deaths to zero. Over 3,000 accident-prone areas have been
identified throughout the state. The government will prioritize five 'E'
formulas: education, enforcement, engineering, and emergency care, with an
emphasis on improving driving behavior. CM Adityanath also reminded drivers
that pedestrians have 'same rights on the road' and expressed confidence that
vehicles will obey traffic laws to make roads safer.
While
police will carefully enforce the laws to keep the state's roads safe and
accessible to all, everyone's participation is also required. Using a cell
phone while driving can be dangerous for both you and others. Follow the speed
limit. Speeding and intoxicated driving are among the major causes of deadly
accidents, according to the CM, who also stated that helmets and seat belts are
more than just accessories.
The
Chief Minister wrote, They ensure your and your family's safety. Parents
are responsible for ensuring that minor children do not drive automobiles. Pay
attentive attention and be sensitive to pedestrians. Remember, they have the
same rights on the road. I am certain that you will observe traffic regulations
to keep the state's roadways safe and accessible.”
