New Delhi, 12 January (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday shared a profound Sanskrit Subhashitam on X, underscoring Swami Vivekananda's steadfast belief that the power of youth stands as the most formidable cornerstone of nation-building.

The verse, drawn from ancient wisdom traditions, proclaims: “अङ्गणवेदी वसुधा कुल्या जलधिः स्थली च पातालम्। वल्मीकश्च सुमेरुः कृतप्रतिज्ञस्य वीरस्य॥”

This evocative shloka illustrates that for the brave and strong-willed individual of unshakeable resolve, the entire earth becomes like a mere courtyard, oceans resemble simple channels, the vast terrain akin to the underworld, an anthill towers like Mount Meru, and no challenge on earth proves insurmountable.

In his bilingual X post, the Prime Minister elaborated in Hindi: “स्वामी विवेकानंद का मानना था कि युवा शक्ति ही राष्ट्र-निर्माण की सबसे सशक्त आधारशिला है। भारतीय युवा अपने जोश और जुनून से हर संकल्प को साकार कर सकते हैं।” He affirmed that Indian youth, armed with their zeal, energy, and passion, hold the capacity to actualize every national ambition.
