Imphal, 12 January 12 (HS): Security forces arrested a Revolutionary People’s Front/People’s Liberation Army (RPF/PLA) rebel during an operation in Imphal East district, police said on Monday.

The arrested individual has been identified as Thiyam Yaiphaba Meitei alias Pibarel (28), a resident of Ningomthong Bazar in Imphal West district. He was apprehended from Yaripok Yambem Makha Leikai under Andro Police Station in Imphal East.

A mobile phone was seized from his possession. Further investigation is underway.
