(HS): The first Convocation of the Laxminarayan Innovation Technology

University will be held in Nagpur on January 13. The prestigious Laxminarayan

Institute of Technology affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University

was granted the status of a University recently. Former Chairman-Cum-Managing

Director of MOIL, Ajit Kumar Saxena will deliver the Convocation address.

President of the University’s Board of Governors Padma Shree awardee Prof Ganapati

Yadav will preside over.

Prof Nitin Seth

of Indo-French Centre of the Promotion of Advance Research, New Delhi will be

the chief guest. The Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr Atul Vaidya, will be

the guest of honour.

January 13 also

marks the 149th birth anniversary of Rao Bahadur D Laxminarayan, who

donated land and money to Nagpur University to establish the institute.

A total of 82

students will be awarded degrees during the convocation. Meritorious students

will be given fine Gold Medals and fine Silver Medals.

Registrar Dr

Neerai Khati, Director of Board of Examination and Evaluation Dr Pradip Shende,

and Chief Advisor of the University Mohan Pane will remain present.
