12 Jan (HS): The district administration is continuing its strict action

against illegal encroachment in Balrampur district. In this sequence, a joint

team of the Forest Department and local police bulldozed an illegal shrine located

in Udaipur village, within Thana Dehat area. A heavy police force was deployed

on the spot during the operation to prevent any untoward incidents. According

to the administration, the shrine was built illegally on forest land.

Complaints had been received about the structure for a long time. After an

investigation, the construction was found to be illegal and demolition action

was taken.

The

campaign against illegal constructions has intensified in Balrampur district

for some time now. Administrative sources say that whether it's roadside

encroachment or occupation of government and forest land, no illegal

construction will be spared. This has caused a stir in areas of the district

where illegal encroachments have occurred. Giving information on the matter,

Circle Officer Jyoti Shri stated that this construction in the Udaipur area was

completely illegal. She said that action was taken in the presence of police

force after the Forest Department's report and investigation confirmed the

illegal occupation. She clarified that such action will continue in the future.
