New Delhi, 11 January (H.S.): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat emphasized on Sunday that Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar's life embodies the soul of the RSS, anchored in the fundamental mantra of Bharat Sarvopari (India Above All).

The RSS is not undergoing change but continuously evolving in consonance with its core ideology, traditions, and values. The launch of the first song, Bhagwa Hai Apni Pehchaan (Saffron is Our Identity), from the film Shatak—chronicling the RSS's historic 100-year journey—took place at a special ceremony held at Keshav Kunj in Delhi.

Dr. Bhagwat formally inaugurated the anthem, underscoring its significance.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bhagwat stated that the film Shatak and its anthem compellingly showcase the RSS's nationalistic fervor, inner strength, and spirit of service. The cinematic endeavor also illuminates untold stories of the organization hitherto unknown to the general public.

Dr. Hedgewar possessed a remarkable ability to unite people, confronting life's harshest challenges with equanimity—a quality that permeates the RSS's operational ethos even today. He affirmed that the RSS ideology remains dynamic, perpetually adapting to the evolving needs of society and the nation.

Dr. Bhagwat elaborated that the song Bhagwa Hai Apni Pehchaan portrays saffron not merely as a symbol but as the civilizational consciousness and identity of India. It depicts saffron as emblematic of sacrifice, penance, discipline, service, and spiritual prowess, issuing a clarion call for society to unite in collective consciousness for the nation's welfare.

Renowned singer Sukhwinder Singh lent his dynamic voice to elevate the anthem's impact. Music composer Sunny Inder's powerful melodies, coupled with lyricist Rakesh Kumar Pal's stirring words, infused the composition with vigor and emotional depth.

On this occasion, Sukhwinder Singh expressed profound pride and gratitude, noting that having the song launched by Mohan Bhagwat marked a moment of blessing. For him, this transcends professional endeavor—it represents selfless national service. He affirmed having rendered it with utmost sincerity, confident it would resonate deeply with every Indian.

Notably, Shatak traces the RSS's century-long odyssey from its founding in Nagpur in 1925 to the present, meticulously documenting its social, cultural, and national contributions. Conceived by Anil D. Agarwal, directed by Ashish Mall, and produced by Veer Kapoor with Ashish Tiwari as co-producer, the film is presented by ADA Degree LLP.
