New Delhi, 10 January (H.S.): Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday of intent to convert the state into Bangladesh by handing it over to infiltrators, declaring the removal of Trinamool Congress from power essential to saving Bengal.
In an X post, Singh raised serious concerns over the state's law and order and political direction, highlighting Hindus living in fear across every district with no safe haven remaining. He labeled Mamata as anti-constitutional for personally snatching documents from Enforcement Directorate officials and directing the DGP to seize them, questioning the motive behind such secrecy.
Singh demanded clarity on why the Chief Minister intervened to retrieve papers, implying fear that evidence would implicate her nephew Abhishek Banerjee. He challenged whether any precedent exists of a Chief Minister grabbing ED documents on-site, underscoring the TMC government's desperate cover-up tactics amid ongoing probes.
Dismissing claims of a solid Mahagathbandhan, Singh asserted no genuine alliance exists beyond opportunistic election-time unity. He urged Bengal's citizens to shed fear, emphasizing that ousting the TMC regime stands as the sole path to restoring security and constitutional order in the state.
