02 Sept (HS): Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT-A)
has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a consortium of prestigious
institutions and organizations of the Czech Republic under the Ministry of
Education of the European Union (EU). Prof. Mukul Sharad Sutawane, Director,
IIITA said that this strategic partnership aims to promote academic and
research collaboration, promote faculty and student exchange programmes, and
facilitate joint initiatives in cutting-edge areas of technology, innovation
and higher education. This collaboration will serve as a bridge between India
and the EU region, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and global
collaboration.
He
further said that this MoU is expected to open new avenues for cross-border
knowledge sharing, collaborative research projects and global learning
opportunities, which will contribute to the vision of internationalization of
the Institute as envisaged in the National Education Policy (NEP) of India.
This
MoU is an important step towards strengthening IIITA's international
cooperation. It aims to create impactful opportunities and collaborative
initiatives in key areas such as science and research, promoting mutual
mobility, joint publications and knowledge transfer and capacity building.
Dr.
Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Head of the ECE Department, said that this collaboration
will act as a bridge between India and the European Union and will open global
opportunities for innovation, teaching and impactful research. He congratulated
Dr. Sitangshu Bhattacharya of the department for successfully launching this
initiative, who will act as the main contact point from Triple IT Allahabad for
this collaboration. Giving this information on Tuesday, Triple IT Media
Incharge Dr. Pankaj Mishra said that Registrar Prof. Mandar Subhash Karyakarte
has signed the MoU on behalf of the institute.
